Habitat
In an effort to further procrastinate the busiest work week ever, I will show you where I live. This is possibly my very favorite living situation as of yet. My dorm room:
I think the great improvement can be attributed to a tone-down in color and a selectivity in wall hangings. Also, this room has some sort of decorative theme, whereas in the past two years, the only discernable continuity/theme was color and volume of stuff. Another addition this year, I have living things in my room, namely a few plants. (Since acquiring the last of the bunch, I've had 3+ nightmares about killing them.)
Last year's decorations were certainly fun, especially arranging the mural over the bed. But it wasn't a particularly relaxing environment. This year, staying within the ever-popular blue-brown-cream pallet and Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige prints, I've created something even Tom approves of, which is certainly saying something in regard to our opposite taste in most things, especially home design.
The space is certainly a lot bigger than last year, although a far second to the double I lived in first-year with Pamela, of which I cannot seem to dig up a photo. And last night's post promised to include a pointy-shoe remark, and I have nary a one to give, at least not today. I intend to make use of the 'Books' feature of Vox soon.
In other news, I wish I was a little bit taller.
